Pietro Gellona & Maurizio Vescovi – 2013
Pietro Gellona & Maurizio Vescovi reflected on architecture and landscape, art and nature materialize in the shape of a sphere. A geometric solid which only human nature can produce in this environment, is composed by a core of cicrular wood sectors, a metal mesh and a herbaceous layer.
The vegetal layer removes the polished and uniform surface of the Sphere recalling the irregularity of vegetal life and attributing to the solid a tactile dimension. As a marble rolling down the trace, the big green globe is positioned in the middle of the path, re-defined by the visitors which form a new trace by walking around the sphere.
