Cooperativa Sole in collaboration with the municipal administration of Ledro and with the Alpi Ledrensi Reserve Network, starts the search for projects for the inclusion of two new artworks within the Ledro Land Art artistic path, in the Pur area, along the path that runs alongside the Assat stream leads to Malga Cita.

How to participate to Ledro Land Art Call for Artists 2025

Ledro Land Art is an artistic journey in the natural territory whose inspiring principles and aims are the integration between nature and art, the relationship between man and nature, respect for the environment, the rediscovery of the landscape and its links with history and the traditions of the territory.
The selected works will be created partially or totally on site and included in the open-air itinerary, therefore subject to change and deterioration also based on atmospheric factors. Given the often transitory nature of the works, an integral part of Ledro Land Art is the audio-video documentation of the creation process of the work created (paid by the cooperative) which will be included on the website www.ledrolandart.eu.
SELECTION
The selection of works will take place at the discretion of qualified experts in artistic and environmental subjects identified by the Association, according to the following criteria:
· coherence with the inspiring principles of Ledro Land Art
· meaning;
· technical feasibility;
· durability;
· aesthetic quality;
· new proposal.
The identification of the works to be carried out is at the sole discretion of the experts.
SUBMISSION
All artists or groups of artists who are at least eighteen years of age on the date of registration can participate in the selection. To participate it is necessary to send the project by 15 March 2025 to the email address: [email protected] specifying in the subject:
“Participation in the 2025 Ledro Land Art selection”,
Attach a single pdf file containing:
· Selection of your own works;
· Curriculum vitae which contains, in addition to personal data, telephone contacts and e-mails, a summary of your profile with an indication of your training and exhibition/performance activities carried out in the artistic field.
· Intervention project, clear and exhaustive, indicating the description and meaning of the work that is intended to be carried out and the materials that will be used. A clear sketch of the work and any rendering (optional) must be attached to the project.
The documentation sent will not be returned. The data provided will be processed pursuant to Legislative Decree. n. 196/2003.
The deadline for submitting the project is set for March 15th, 2025. The outcome will be announced by April 15, 2025.

Your artistic residency in Ledro Valley
RESIDENCY
The selected artists will be able to work on site from 1.6.2025 to 14.6.2025 and will be hosted in an apartment which is approximately 800m from the park. Hospitality includes dinner. In the event that the creation of the work continues beyond the indicated deadline, the artist will have to independently support accommodation and food which we will help to identify.
REALIZATION
The proposed expenditure cannot exceed € 2.300.00 including tax and social security charges (VAT regime or occasional self-employed work). The work will be judged finished and therefore paid for only after an inspection by the commission which determines the execution of the intervention as planned. All activities and costs for the execution of the work of art are the responsibility of the selected artist. The organization, if communicated and agreed in advance and in any case compatibly with its possibilities, will be able to make available the technical support of a person and any equipment for demanding phases of production. The municipal administration reserves the right to agree with the artist on the possible restoration of damaged parts or the removal of the work. It is desirable that the artists go to the park in advance for an inspection. (The organization is available to accompany the artists).
If unable, the organization will send photographs with some hypothesized locations.
AGREEMENT
The selected artists:
· undertake to lay/install the work, fixing it adequately;
· are civilly and criminally liable for all activities deriving from and inherent to the creation and installation of the works and for all damages that may occur in the execution and realization of the same, both directly and indirectly, to people, things and animals, including other service providers.
The ownership of the works of art will be acquired by the Municipality of Ledro, and also, pursuant to article 11 of Law 22 April 1941, n. 633 and following amendments, the copyright thereof as well as the consequent rights of economic use, and in particular the right to publish, reproduce, communicate and distribute the works. To this end, the provisions in force regarding intellectual works and copyright apply.
Information pursuant to art.13 Legislative Decree 196/2003. The data provided will be processed with reference to the procedure for which you submitted the documentation. The processing will be carried out on paper and/or electronically. The provision of data is mandatory to carry out the procedure of your interest. The data controller is the Encontrarte cultural association. The person responsible for data processing is the President pro tempore of the Association.
