LUCA MAUCERI – 2021

Luca Mauceri’s work draws inspiration from a Buddhist iconographic motif: the large eyes painted on Nepalese stupas that represent the inner vision. The eyes, in this case, symbolize the indissoluble union between man and nature. The choice to “humanize” the natural environment, such as a forest, is used to remember the symbiosis of man with the environment. The large eyes painted on the stupas are also represented with the symbol of the One, the whole of which we are part. This work is an invitation to be aware of it.

Nature watches us, observes what we do, every day tries to tell us to change direction, let’s listen as she patiently does with us.
