STREGA DEL BOSCO
VIVIANA PUECHER & MICHELLE FILIPPI – 2012
Viviana Puecher and Michele Filippi’s goal is to tell a discreet story, triggering a fantastic thought that looks at the primordial essence of time and space. The work starts from a legend written by the artists for the Ledro Valley. What is physically unstable belongs to the realm of imagination, while the stone becomes a tangible foundation of memory and knowledge.
River stones and granite are the materials with which to give shape to the legend built in its narrative form and articulate it in the material one. The installation reinterprets the language of Land Art by assimilating recognized and atavistic forms. The stones stacked one on top of the other suggest a vaguely human shape, the witch, who becomes the catalyst of the energies present in the forest and in nature and returns them to the people who cross the path.
