PLAMEN SOLOMONSKY – 2013
It is an object of absolute simplicity that traces a new stretch of path and creates the short circuit. An oversized and decontextualized broom, which resembles the sorghum brooms capable of supporting the witches who once populated the Ledro valley in their flight, or those used by women in their effort to clean dusty houses. We are not given to know which creature can use this enormous instrument, but the vigor with which the ground is cleaned produces a furrow, a trace that, breathing, opens a space where new flowers can grow.
A powerful still image but in continuous transformation where nature produces its work in progress by taking possession of the space produced by the healing action of the broom in a sequence of steps that, frame after frame, develops as in a stop motion.
